This project aims to scrutinize modes of communicating and making sense of environmental and climate change, with a particular eye on intersections between the problems of intangibility, technocratic approaches, apocalyptic framings and compartmentalization.
The project will provide a systematic review of scholarly literature – including Seed Box outputs – that addresses e.g. sense-making, creative communication, digital communication, visualization, imagery, metaphors, narratives and citizen engagement in relation to environmental change, climate change and sustainability. As such, the project will critically explore notions of communication, sense-making and citizen engagement.
