The Community Garden – an environmental humanities festival

Save the Date: 7-11 February 2022!

The Seed Box are thrilled to announce our 2022 “The Community Garden – an environmental humanities festival”. In the spirit of a harvest festival—this online, five-day gathering of the environmental humanities community will celebrate our work and take stock of the incredible and diverse research carried out during The Seed Box phase 2.

Expect: a garden of imaginative and scholarly diversity and delight!  The Community Garden Festival will showcase our latest research offerings, and present panel discussions, debates, keynotes, workshops, music, art and live-works.

In keeping with the SeedBox’s adventurous programs, the festival will be hosted on a brand new online platform, custom-designed by Stockholm-based Konst and Teknik studio. The platform will reflect and activate  the community garden theme with collaboration and cross-fertilisation in mind. You’ll be able to dig around the site’s planting beds for lively ideas and discussion or rummage for tools and inspiration in the garden shed.

Participants will be contributing from multiple locations and time-zones across the world— we’re sure there’ll be something for everyone.

Be sure to check as the page will be updated regularly with times and events as the festival gets closer.
