The project focuses on geographies of oppression, reflected in geopolitically uneven distribution of cancers. Moreover, it scrutinizes epistemologies of ignorance, in which Western cancer research is embedded, when it puts cancer genetics and lifestyle issues (such as smoking) central, while carcinogenic effects of environmental pollution are given far less attention.
