This project considers the potential contribution of palaeoecology to ecocritical thought and looks to develop an ecocritical approach to the practice of palaeoecology itself.
For example, how are specific ideas and representations of ‘past ecosystems’ created through palaeoecological study? The primary aim is to form active disciplinary connections between (palaeo) ecology and the Environmental Humanities.
Participants: Benjamin Gearey UCC, Ireland; Suzi Richer, University of York, UK.
