The project will begin with a workshop that in a process-based collaboration leads to the event The Shit Project. The artists will delve into the research material and work across borders between art and science to develop artistic and philosophical ideas.

Participants in the project are seven artists from Fungus Kingdom’s studios in Gnesta and four researchers from Uppsala University who work with research on sewage, treatment plants and food waste in the project “Waste Work in the Sustainability Economy: Transforming Values of Biological Waste”. The Shit Project is created with the support of Uppsala University and The Seed Box.
