Agricultural animals, as embodiments of diffuse natural/cultural processes, are sites where futures are imagined in response to socio/environmental change. Focussing on breeding as a technology of change, the project examines 1) the economies of chicken production; 2) the politics of traditional breeds; and 3) the new ecologies of pollinating insects.
