This project aims to explore how particular kinds of “toxic bodies” are transnationally assembled and mobilized in the process of enacting legal responsibility for the foreign operations of large transnational corporations. In doing so, it will follow the current trial against Boliden Minerals presented by a group of inhabitants of the Chilean city of Arica for its responsibility on the dumping of 20.000 thousands tones of highly polluted smelter waste near their homes in mid 1980s.
