In this Seed Box project, the researchers want to investigate the history, present and future of the community space – the Gemensamhetslokal – in order to better understand its function and social and environmental value. English text available in the video below.

In the project: “Gemensamhetslokalen” – a community space with a future in the sharing economy? – the researchers will investigate the history, present and future of the community space and whether these spaces has the potential to form part of the infrastructure in Sweden’s new strategy for circular economy. Karin Bradley, associate professor at KTH, leads the project. The group also includes Dan Hallemar, architect, journalist, critic and publicist, Veronica Hejdelind, curator, producer and author and the photographer Ylva Sundgren. In the video, we meet the group during a study in the districts of Vallastaden and Lambohov in Linköping.
